In 1999, Collie Rescue established a special fund called "Collies Helping Collies." In our work, we have become increasingly aware of families who are facing hardships due to illness, infirmity, unemployment, divorce, and other tragedies. Some of these families are forced to give up their Collie(s) because they are not able to provide for their pet during these difficult times. Sometimes, all that is needed is a helping hand. This fund assists in paying for food, medicine, and veterinary care for Collies in crisis. In this way, we hope to help the Collies remain in their homes with their loving families.

Distribution of monies from the "Collies Helping Collies" fund is on a case-by-case basis and requires Board approval.
